he Lithuanian champion FBK "Kaunas" has loaned 22-year-old forward Vitalijus Gusevas to Klaipėda's "Atlantas" until the end of the season. This information was reported on the official website of the "A Lyga" by "Kaunas" club director Romualdas Kontrimas.

The Estonian legionnaire represented "Kaunas" very rarely, so it was decided that it would be more beneficial for him to be at "Atlantas". The coastal team registered Gusevas on August 31. This season, V. Gusevas has not scored any goals yet.

Meanwhile, the Kaunas club recently faced problems as two "Kaunas" representatives - head coach Igoris Pankratjevas and goalkeeper Šarūnas Kilijonas were injured in a bus accident in Serbia and Montenegro.

"During the accident, over a hundred kilogram Lithuanian youth national team administrator Kazimieras Petronis fell on top of I. Pankratjevas. The coach's neck was severely injured. He currently cannot move without a neck brace, but is still participating in training," said "Kaunas" club director Romualdas Kontrimas.

Kaunas goalkeeper Š. Kilijonas got glass shards stuck in his right leg during the accident, which had to be removed. Due to this, the player did not represent the Lithuanian youth national team in the European youth championship qualification tournament against Bosnia yesterday.

"Š. Kilijonas will probably start training again after a week," said R. Kontrimas.
