LFF Cup semi-final draw brought "Ekranas" and "Kaunas" together © EuroFootball.com

On Wednesday during the national team matches of Lithuania and Bosnia and Herzegovina at the Vilnius "Vėtra" stadium, the draw for the 2005 LFF Cup semi-finals was held, pairing the two leaders of the "A League" championship - Panevėžys "Ekranas" and FBK "Kaunas".

Interestingly, representatives of both leaders drew each other - the representative of the Panevėžys club got "Kaunas", and the representative of the Kaunas club drew "Ekranas". This means that the clubs that have fought for the title of Lithuanian champions in recent years will meet again, and in the other pair, the remaining teams in the cup, Vilnius "Vėtra" and Klaipėda "Atlantas", will play.

The first semi-final matches will take place next Tuesday: at 17:00 "Kaunas" will host "Ekranas" at home, at 19:30 "Vėtra" will meet "Atlantas" on their pitch. The return matches will be played after two weeks on September 27 at 16:00.
