Another piece of good news for football fans - following the start of the Scottish Premier League broadcasts last weekend, Lithuania's second television channel (LTV2) has followed Tango TV's example and prepared an even bigger surprise - from now on, Italian Serie A matches will be shown live on Sundays.

The Italian championship is considered one of the strongest in the world. As football commentator Darius Kuodis notes, Serie A teams consistently compete for titles in European cup tournaments. LTV2 will provide Italian football fans in Lithuania, of whom there are quite a few, the opportunity to watch matches of Italian clubs every week.

Getting to know Italian football up close is also helped by Lithuanian national team players Marius Stankevičius and Tomas Danilevičius, who currently play in the lower Serie B league in Italy after finding their way to the Apennines a few years ago.

LTV2 program producer Martynas Kėvišas says that besides football, in the future Lithuania's second television channel will not be indifferent to other sports. M.Kėvišas hopes that sports enthusiasts will discover and enjoy Lithuania's second television channel.

The first live broadcast of Serie A matches will begin on September 18 at 4 pm. In the third round of matches, Rome's Lazio will face Treviso.
