The fights for the LFF Cup continue - on Tuesday, the first two semi-final matches ended in a draw. The duel between the leaders of "A Lyga" championship, "Kauno" and Panevezys "Ekranas", ended goalless, while Vilnius "Vetra" in third place and the unsuccessful Klaipeda "Atlantas" played a 1-1 draw.
Intriguing match at the S. Dariaus and S. Girėno Sports Center Stadium in Kaunas saw the home team being more active, but they, like "Ekranas", failed to capitalize on their chances. Until the end of the game, "Kaunas" managed to defeat A. Skrupskis, but the goal was disallowed for offside, so the winner of the pair will be decided in the second leg in Panevezys.
The return matches of the semi-finals will take place in two weeks, on September 27, with the game starting at 16:00.
