In the newly announced FIFA World National Team Ranking, Lithuania lost 12 points and dropped three positions down to 95th place.

Brazil's national team maintained the first place, earning 2 points for qualifying for the World Championship. Meanwhile, the Netherlands' team became the new owner of the second place, pushing Argentina's team to third place.

England dropped out of the top ten after several consecutive losses, while Sweden rose 5 positions to reach tenth place.

The biggest leap was made by Liechtenstein, which climbed 16 positions by defeating Luxembourg. Northern Ireland also did well, climbing 15 positions by defeating England. Iraq dropped the most positions.

Latvia rose one position to 63rd place. Estonia's national team also rose one position to 81st place.

Lithuania's rivals in the seventh qualifying group for the 2006 World Championship in Germany, Spain remained in 8th place, Serbia and Montenegro rose to 48th place. Meanwhile, Bosnia rose 11 positions to 67th place. Belgium climbed to 47th place, San Marino stayed in 161st place.
