Both teams had collected 13 points before this match and shared the 3-4 positions, so in order to distance themselves from the rivals in the standings as well as to surpass "Rangers" and "Kilmarnock", who also had the same number of points, they needed to win.

Visitors took the lead already in their first attack - after a pass from S. Nakamura, S. Petrov found himself in the penalty area and sent the ball between the legs of goalkeeper Z. Malkowski. The goal allowed the Glasgow team to take the initiative, but the goalkeeper from Poland protected his goal.

At the beginning of the second half, S. Nakamura finally managed to beat the opponents' goalkeeper with a great penalty kick, but his shot hit the post. Later, "Hibernian" started to play more successfully, but at first A. Konte missed a good opportunity, and A. Boruc saved S. Whittaker's shot.

As the match neared the end, N. Lennon almost doubled the score by shooting over the goal, while on the other side of the field the "Celtic" goalkeeper managed to defend against "Hibernian" attacks twice and help his team win three points.
