This weekend, the regular matches of the Russian Premier League were played, almost not changing the situation in the tournament table. Of the teams playing away, only three championship leaders did not lose - "Lokomotiv" lost two points, "CSKA" and "Zenit" won victories, and the other home teams defeated their opponents.
The tour began with the matches of the Moscow "Moskva" and Grozny "Terek" clubs. Before these matches, Grozny "Terek" publicly started announcing that this team is unwanted in the Premier League, that the referees judge biasedly, and also expressed the same ideas in a letter to the President of the Russian Federation.
The Moscow "Moskva" fans were afraid that the referees might start "pulling" the "Terek" team so that the talks would be silenced. However, the "Moskva" players did not pay attention to such talks and started the match actively. At the beginning of the match, "Moskva" created several opportunities but failed to capitalize on them, and in the 35th minute, D.Kirichenko finally managed to score a goal.
Although it seemed that the outcome of the match was decided, at the beginning of the second half, "Terek" became more active and in the 64th minute, the team's newcomer O.Koroman earned a penalty kick and scored it himself. However, the outcome of the match was determined by a penalty kick in the last minutes into the goal of the "Terek" team, which was perfectly realized by the most effective player of the championship D.Kirichenko. With a score of 2-1, the Moscow "Moskva" players won the match.
In another Saturday match, the contender for the UEFA zone, Kazan "Rubin," met with the survival fighter in the Premier League, Vladikavkaz "Alania." "Rubin" showed from the very beginning of the match that this season it has entirely different goals than "Alania," which was confirmed by a penalty kick scored in the 6th minute. However, after the penalty kick, "Rubin" stopped and the situation on the field changed significantly - "Alania" took control of the midfield, launched attacks, and in the 54th minute, D.Bazayev scored the equalizing goal.
After fourteen minutes, "Rubin" scored again and took the lead, but in the 81st minute, a questionable penalty kick was awarded to "Rubin," which was converted by D.Bazayev. It seemed that with 10 minutes left until the end of the match, the result would remain equal, but the "Rubin" players did not agree with that and scored two more goals, winning 4-2 against "Alania."
"Amkar" crushed Moscow "Dynamo" on their home ground. The "Amkar" team responded to four effective blows with just one goal at the end of the match. Saturday's matches were concluded by Moscow "Spartak" and Tomsk "Tom." In the boring match, Moscow "Spartak" players won with a score of 2-1.
The Sunday matches were opened by Moscow "Torpedo" and St. Petersburg "Zenit" teams. The "Torpedo" club, praised in Russia for having one of the best defenses in this year's championship, was crushed at home by 0-4 and fell to eighth place in the tournament table.
The visit of "Lokomotiv" to Rostov was not as successful as expected and ended unexpectedly. After conceding the first goal, "Rostov" managed to equalize the result only towards the end of the match, and had to settle for one point. Meanwhile, "Krylya Sovetov" after a victory in the UEFA Europa League, visited Yaroslavl, but unfortunately, the away team could not repeat the goal-scoring spree and lost 3-1 to the "Shinnik" team, jumping to the seventh position.
As for the match between "Saturn" and "CSKA", the massive brawls between the players of these teams at the "Ramenskoye" stadium are still fresh in memory. The crucial and final duel of the tour did not delight the spectators with a wealth of goals - the only and winning goal, scored by "CSKA," was scored at the beginning of the match.
