On Tuesday evening in Germany, matches of the sixth round of the "Bundesliga" were played. The championship leader and multiple champion Munich's "Bayern" won their sixth victory, defeating Frankfurt's "Eintracht" by a minimal result. In a resultful match, "Wolfsburg" won away against "Hannover" and "Werder", playing in the UEFA Champions League, had to acknowledge the superiority of "Gladbach".
In the match held in Frankfurt, "Bayern" played without the injured Michael Ballack and looked sluggish, but after substitutes Mehmet Scholl and Paolo Guerrero appeared, they livened up the game and helped Munich's club to achieve victory. It was precisely after M. Scholl's pass from the left side and Iranian Ali Karimi's "header" rejected Paolo Guerrero's goal.
Beautiful matches took place in Hanover, where in the first half, "Wolfsburg" scored four goals that practically determined the end of the match. Twice at the beginning of the match after passes from M. Karhan and A. D'Alessandro, M. Hanke stood out. In the 27th minute, the third visitor's goal was scored by D. F. Klimowicz, and T. Brdaric answered with a headed goal, slightly softening the result. At the end of the first half, Argentine A. D'Alessandro scored the most beautiful goal of the match by converting a penalty kick from a sharp angle. At the end of the match, T. Brdaric scored his second goal, which only softened the result.
Bremen's "Werder" can blame only themselves and team captain F. Baumann for losing the match to "Gladbach". Although in the first half, the guests had many opportunities to score, they fell behind in the 21st minute after J. van Damme's goal. At the beginning of the second half, T. Broich equalized the score, and at the end of the match, "Werder" captain scored a strange own goal - he, unpressed by anyone, sent the ball into his own net. This defeat means that now "Werder" is already 5 points behind the leaders "Bayern".
In the last evening match in Dortmund, "Borussia" celebrated their second victory in three matches, this time defeating Bielefeld's "Arminia" resistance with a score of 2-0. The first goal after a long pass from L. Ricken was scored by the Czech J. Koller, and the second goal was scored by the Polish E. Smolarek.
The remaining five matches of the sixth round of the "Bundesliga" are played on Wednesday.
