KFK today (Monday) terminated the contract with the head coach Vytas Jančiauskas by mutual agreement.
The director of the "Šiauliai" club, Pranas Šidlauskas, did not comment further on the reasons for the coach's departure: "V. Jančiauskas left the club by mutual agreement. Which side initiated it first? Both. We parted in a good way. The coach officially left the team today."
V. Jančiauskas also confirmed that he parted ways with "Šiauliai" by mutual agreement: "I wish the team to successfully finish the season, and I wish the fans patience. It is important to understand that achieving high results quickly is not possible."
The director of the "Šiauliai" club said that the assistant coach Rytis Tavoras will temporarily train the team, and added that it is still unclear who will reinforce the coaching staff of "Šiauliai."
"I cannot say now whether we will look for a new head coach this season. This will be decided by the club owners," said P. Šidlauskas.
Vytas Jančiauskas joined the team in the middle of last year and helped "Šiauliai" become champions of the I league and qualify for the NFKA "A league." This year, "Šiauliai" have 24 points after 28 games and are in 9th place in the "A league."
