On Saturday, two matches of the sixth round of the Spanish "La Liga" championship took place, in which the Spanish football giants "Barcelona" and "Valencia" once again failed to secure victories.
In the match between "Barcelona" and "Zaragoza," the first half ended goalless at 0-0, but shortly after the start of the second half, Gabriel Milito managed to beat the "Barca" goalkeeper and put his team ahead. Just four minutes later, Gabriel's brother Diego also scored. However, "Barcelona" managed to recover - just when it seemed like the match would end in a "Zaragoza" victory, in the 79th minute, Mark van Bommel, who had recently come on as a substitute, was brought down in the penalty area, and Ronaldinho successfully converted the penalty kick awarded by the referee. Not only that, after van Bommel was fouled, Cesar Toledo received a second yellow card and was forced to leave the field. The remaining ten "Zaragoza" players managed to hold on until the penultimate minute of the match, when Samuel Eto'o broke through the opponent's defense and equalized the score.
Even worse results happened on Saturday for the "Valencia" team playing away against their former and current coach Quique Flores' team "Getafe." "Valencia" took the lead after the 30th minute with a goal scored by the most productive player in "La Liga" this season, David Villa, against the surprise team of this season "Getafe," but they failed to maintain the lead. Riki managed to equalize the score right at the end of the first half, and in the 89th minute, Pablo Redondo secured a win for the "Getafe" club. Furthermore, in the 90th minute, the first goal scorer David Villa was also sent off the field. It is worth mentioning that after this victory, "Getafe" once again temporarily became the leader in the Spanish championship, while this was the first defeat for "Valencia" this season.
