The Mexican national team scored two goals in two minutes and celebrated a stunning 3-0 victory over Brazil in the World U-17 Championship final held in Peru.

The most productive player of the tournament, Carlos Vela, scored with a header in the 31st minute to put the Mexicans ahead, and two minutes later Omar Esparza doubled the score with a beautiful strike.

The victory was sealed in the 86th minute by Ever Guzman, who received applause from the spectators for his individual effort and precise finish.

The trophy won by Mexico in the tournament with 16 teams was the first one at any level of FIFA tournaments for the country. This victory ended Brazil's dominance - the South American country had won the last three tournaments.

The best player of the tournament was Anderson, the leader of the Brazilian team, followed by the Mexican Giovanni dos Santos, son of the famous Brazilian footballer Zizinho and known as the "left-footed Ronaldinho" of Barcelona, and in third place was Nuri Sahin from Turkey.

The title of the most prolific player of the tournament was won by Carlos Vela of the Mexican team, with the Turkish representatives Nuri Sahin and Tevfik Kose sharing second and third place, both scoring four goals and providing two assists each.

It is worth mentioning that for the first time in this tournament, a "smart ball" was used. This ball contained a microchip that signaled the referees whether the ball crossed the goal line.

FIFA President Sepp Blatter stated that after analyzing the results of this tournament with the "smart ball" and testing it in the upcoming Club World Cup in Japan, this technology could be used in the World Cup to be held in Germany the following year.
