Will F.Toldo leave Milano "Inter" in the winter? © EuroFootball.com

Displeased with his situation at the Milan club and recently speaking publicly about it in the media, the goalkeeper may leave the Milan club this winter.

A couple of days ago, the experienced former Italian national team goalkeeper publicly criticized the "Inter" management for choosing the Brazilian Julio Cesar as the main goalkeeper at the start of the season.

"I sacrificed my place in the national team for 'Inter', but even if they invited me back, I couldn't prove my abilities because I haven't been playing lately," said F. Toldo. "If they had told me before the season that I would be a substitute, I could have decided something, but back then they told me something else. I hope there is no bias against me, and it's just a technical choice."

In response to the goalkeeper's comments, "Inter" president Giacinto Facchetti stated that F. Toldo spoke out of turn and at the wrong time.

"It's obvious that he spoke out of turn and at the wrong time. At first, he should have talked to Mancini (the 'Inter' coach)," said G. Facchetti. "He knows that he acted correctly and will talk to the coach."

Reports immediately appeared in the Italian press that a club is interested in F. Toldo during the winter transfer window. However, the salary demands of this Sicilian club may be too high for Toldo.

"Toldo is a fantastic goalkeeper and we would acquire him as willingly as we acquired Cristiano Abbiati in the summer," said "Palermo" president Maurizio Zamparini. "The problem is that his desired salary seems unaffordable to us."
