Good news in the Munich "Bayern" club camp - one of the team leaders, defender Owen Hargreaves, has agreed to extend his contract with the German champions until 2010. According to the club president, O. Hargreaves will officially sign a new contract in the coming days.
"I am sure that in the future we will do even better. We have amazing support, we have the best stadium in the world, and we also have a team capable of winning the UEFA Champions League trophy," the footballer said, not hiding his joy.
Owen joined the club's youth team in the summer of 1997, at the age of sixteen. After three seasons, he was called up to the main "Bayern" team and since then, as a player with the Munich club, he has become a Champions League winner, won the Bundesliga championship three times, and won the German Cup twice.
