On Sunday, in the only remaining match of the 10th round of the Scottish "Premier" League, defending champions Glasgow "Rangers" failed to win away against the ninth-placed "Dundee United" club on the league table. The uneventful match ended in a goalless draw.
In the first half, the best chance to score a goal came to "Rangers" captain Barry Ferguson, but his penalty kick hit the crossbar. Towards the end of the match, "Dundee United" forward Barry Robson almost stole a surprising victory, but his shot was cleared off the goal line by Julien Rodriguez.
In the last minute, Greek defender Sotirios Kyrgiakos from "Rangers" was sent off with a second yellow card.
With these drawn matches, "Rangers" are in fourth place on the league table with 17 points, falling further behind league leaders Edinburgh "Hearts", who are at the top with 26 points. In second place, trailing by 3 points, is another Glasgow team, "Celtic", and in third place is Edinburgh's "Hibernian" with 19 points.
