The first season of "SFL" has ended © EuroFootball.com

Although two relegation matches will be played next weekend, the first season of the "Sunday Football League" ended today, as the last matches in the groups were played. The fights in the B division ended last week. The champions there became "Kapočiai," while "Studentai" will have to fight for survival. The champion of the A division was also determined last week. It was the club "Prelegentų."

Meanwhile, today the strongest team in the C division was determined, and the final standings of the clubs in the tournament table for both A and C divisions were revealed.

Surprisingly, two matches in the A division ended unexpectedly.

The team "Tygelis," which performed excellently today, managed to defeat "Užupis," for whom these matches no longer mattered, with a score of 2-1. "Užupis" had already secured second place in the A division, while "Tygelis," winning these matches, took the third place prize.

Another surprise was recorded at the "Venta" stadium where the leading "Ozas" team failed to maintain victory and lost 1-2 against the young and ambitious "Kiemo" team. A loss for "Kiemas" against "Ozas" would have meant that they would have to play relegation matches again against the same "Viči" club from Kaunas.

The "Navigatoriai" had to defeat the "LiCS" team and hope that "Ozas" would win against "Kiemas," but they only did what was up to them. "LiCS" was crushed 7-1, but that was not enough, so next weekend the relegation matches will be played by the "Navigatoriai" and "Viči" teams from the A-B division.

In the C division, the champion was determined in the last round. It was the club "Krušos." Today, "Kruša" once again dashed the hopes of "Vova," defeating them 7-2.

Meanwhile, "F.1.C." failed to beat the "Gangai" team, for whom the last round no longer mattered as they had already secured third place. The match ended in a 2-2 draw.

Therefore, congratulations to the "Krušos" team, which will be promoted to the B division without having to play relegation matches, and good luck to the "F.1.C." team playing against "Studentai" in the relegation matches.
