Today (Sunday), two transitional matches of the "Sunday Football League" were played. Interestingly, both clubs that played in lower divisions won.
2 - 2
(4-5 after penalty kicks)
The first matches were especially intense. "Navigators" and "Vichi" eleven clashed for the right to play in Division A. We can remember that these teams also met in group stage matches in the spring. Back then, playing in Kaunas, "Navigators" managed to defeat "Vichi" with a score of 2-0. In today's match, it seemed like the scenario would be very similar, as at one point "Navigators" led 2-0, but couldn't maintain the lead in the second half and the regular time of the match ended in a draw 2-2. Both teams had to take penalty kicks from eleven meters. In this lottery, it went better for the team from Kaunas, who defeated "Navigators" 5-4 after penalties and secured the right to play in Division A from the spring. Meanwhile, "Navigators" will have to settle for battles in Division B.
2 - 0
In the second match of the day, "F.1.C." easily defeated "Students" who did not manage to earn a single point in the autumn season with a score of 2-0. They will start competing in Division B from spring, while "Students" will play in the weakest Division C. Although the score was 0-0 after the first half, "F.1.C." scored two goals in the second half, one of which hit the crossbar. "Students" didn't show anything special at the beginning of the half and had to admit defeat.
