Four-time French "Ligue 1" champion club has decided to extend the contract with the goalkeeper for another year.
According to the new deal, the 32-year-old Frenchman, who is 185 cm tall, will represent the club until June 2008. His previous contract was valid until 2007.
"These will be another year of joy. We have everything we need here to improve and achieve the best results," said G. Coupet.
The player joined the "Lyon" team in 1997, and has been with the club ever since. With "Lyon", the goalkeeper has won the French champions title for the fourth consecutive season, and has also become a permanent member of the French national team - he has represented the national team 17 times.
