Despite the draw in the Sunday match against Cagliari away, the debutant of the Italian Serie A championship decided to release the head coach Ezio Rossi from his duties.
The 43-year-old coach helped the Treviso club last season to reach the country's highest Serie A league for the first time in its history, but the start of the season was tough - the new champion has not yet achieved any positive results at home, only collecting 6 points in 11 matches and currently sitting in third place from the bottom of the standings, behind only Cagliari and Lecce.
Unsatisfied with these results, the club management decided to dismiss the coach, and president Ettore Settenas announced his decision after the match against Cagliari in Sardinia, which ended in a 0-0 draw. It is believed that the vacant coach position will most likely be filled by former Lecce and Fiorentina coach Alberto Cavasinas in the near future.
