One of the outsiders of the Italian championship officially confirmed the dismissal of head coach Ezio Rossi and appointed local strategist Alberto Cavasina in his place, who has already worked at his hometown club.
The decision to dismiss E. Rossi was initially made after the weekend match against "Cagliari", but on Monday the Trevizo club unexpectedly announced that the situation would be reconsidered and the coach would stay in his position for the time being. However, the wait was not long, and on Tuesday evening the appointment of the new coach was confirmed.
49-year-old A. Cavasina, who signed a contract with "Treviso" valid until the end of the season, has represented the Trevizo team as a player and also worked as a coach in the team 15 years ago. In his later coaching career, Cavasina coached clubs such as "Lecce", "Fiorentina", and "Brescia."
