"Kaunas" leaders negatively evaluate the performance in the "A League" © EuroFootball.com

Most of the leaders and coaches of Lithuanian 'A league' clubs would be happy with the earned silver medals. However, FBK "Kaunas" leaders can only be happy with one place - the first one. In the last six seasons, the Kaunas team always achieved and defended it, but this year they had to settle for the title of national vice champions and the LFF Cup winners.

"I evaluate our team's performance in the Lithuanian championships negatively. The second place does not reflect the true strength of the team. Perhaps mistakes were made when assembling the team, or maybe the players simply thought they were invincible," said Gintaras Ugianskis, President of the "Kaunas" club.

According to him, the team did not have a clear leader to lead other players forward. The President of the club was disappointed by some of the team's veterans, who played without sports anger. "I didn't see fire in their eyes," said G. Ugianskis.

Nevertheless, the President of the "Kaunas" club is optimistic. "The young Linas Pilibaitis has integrated perfectly into the team. I have high hopes for this young man, I believe he can become a good footballer. After this season, we will draw the necessary conclusions. We will strive for "Kaunas" to be called the strongest Lithuanian football team again after a year," hoped G. Ugianskis.

He said he would like to assemble the team for the next season as soon as possible. "It would be great to do it by December," said G. Ugianskis.
