Since this year in the Lithuanian championship there was no lack of impressive results, victorious and unsuccessful series, the official website of the "A Lyga" presents records and anti-records of the 2005 season for statistics lovers.

The most goals (eight) in one match during the 2005 Lithuanian "A Lyga" championship were scored by Panevėžio "Ekranas" and Kaunas FBK "Kaunas". The people of Panevėžys sent the ball into the net of Vilnius "Vėtra" on June 11th so many times, while the residents of Kaunas did it on May 14th against Kėdainiai "Nevėžis".

Four goals in one match. This record of productivity for this season of "A Lyga" belongs to Marijampolės "Sūduva" forward Tomas Radzinevičius and Šiauliai "Šiauliai" forward Gediminas Butavičius. The Marijampolietis stood out on August 12th in Kaunas, when he beat Kėdainiai "Nevėžis" goalkeeper Tautvydas Jazokas into despair, and the Šiauliai native scored four goals in the last round against "Ekranas".

The longest winning streak can be boasted by "Ekranas". The new national champions won all nine matches of the first round and the same amount of games in a row at the end of the championship, until they stumbled in the 36th round.

The longest losing streak belongs to "Nevėžis". The people of Kėdainiai did not earn a single point in eight matches.

For six rounds in a row, the opponents' net seemed closed for "Ekranas". The Panevėžys team did not concede a goal for 540 minutes.

The championship outsiders from Kėdainiai could not score a goal for seven consecutive rounds (from the sixth to the thirteenth round).

The most viewers (4000) watched the matches between "Kaunas" and "Ekranas" in Kaunas on June 28th, while the least (20) watched the matches between "Nevėžis" and "Kaunas" on November 9th.
