On Sunday, two remaining matches of the 15th round of the French "Ligue 1" championship were played, after which Paris "P.S.G" club returned to the second position after the break.

The capital team won 2-0 away against the previously second-placed "Bordeaux" club and leveled the points with them, but due to a better goal difference, they overtook them in the tournament table.

"P.S.G" took the lead in the 35th minute when defender Mario Yepes scored a goal against "Bordeaux". In the second half, the most effective player of this season's "Ligue 1" from Portugal, Pedro Pauleta, scored the second goal of the match five minutes later, doubling the score. This was his eighth goal of the season.

In another game on Sunday, "Rennes" and "Toulouse" clubs faced each other. Playing at home, "Rennes" showed no mercy to "Toulouse", defeating them 4-1 in front of their own fans. The visitors scored a consolation goal in the 82nd minute when the score was already 3-0. Another goal for "Rennes" was scored by last year's most effective player Alexander Frei, who seems to have finally found his game this season.

After this victory, "Rennes" climbed from 12th place to 8th place with 23 points, while "Toulouse" remained in 16th place with 15 points.
