The attacking defender of Madrid for the Spanish sports newspaper "Marca", Roberto Carlos, stated that he wants to return to Brazil and added that it could happen sooner than his contract ends.
"After some time, you want to rest," R. Carlos told the Spanish newspaper. "I can't be so tense. Sometimes I can't even sleep. I want to return to my homeland, to my home, to my children, whom I miss very much."
"I would like to wake up in my parents' house, because in Madrid I am lonely," continued the left-back attacking defender. "I really want to go back. I don't know if it will happen tomorrow or in the summer of 2008, but I really want to return."
The contract of the Brazilian, who recently received Spanish citizenship, with the Royal club is valid until the summer of 2008, but there have been rumors lately that "Real" is already looking for a replacement for the 32-year-old defender known for his very strong and precise shot.
