On Saturday, two matches of the 14th round took place in the Italian championship. "Chievo" caused a surprise by beating the "Milan" team, while "Inter" fought hard for a victory against "Ascoli."
For "Milan," playing as guests, it was their second defeat in three recent matches. Two weeks ago, this club stumbled against "Fiorentina." This time, the guests were defeated by a score of 2-1 against the "Chievo" team.

In the second half, the situation on the field remained the same. The hosts continued to attack the opponents' goal dangerously. In the 79th minute, "Chievo" player Amauri suffered an injury, and he was replaced on the field by S. Tribocchi. This was a crucial event in the match because 90 seconds later, S. Tribocchi put the hosts ahead after sending the ball into the opponents' goal following a great combination with his teammate V. Obinna. "Milan" was unable to respond for the rest of the match, and this meant that the club's hopes of rising to the top of the league table diminished even further.
The match went more successfully for the other Milan club, "Inter," who won 1-0 at home against "Ascoli." Despite the fact that throughout the match "Inter" dangerously attacked the opponents' goal, the hosts managed to send the ball into the net of the "Serie A" underdogs only once. In the 24th minute, a penalty was awarded to the visitors, and Adriano's shot sent the ball into the goal.
After these matches, "Inter" tied in points on the league table with the "Fiorentina" club, which will host "Juventus" tomorrow at their stadium.
