The club currently in fourth place in the French "Ligue 1" championship announced that they intend to buy the league's top scorer, striker Pierra Alain Frau in the near future. Frau has been linked with a move away from the "Lyon" team for several months, as he has struggled to establish himself in the main squad coached by Gerard Houllier.
