In the match that took place in Pamplona, together with "Barcelona", the current leaders of the Spanish championship, Pamplona's "Osasuna" players scored the only goal of the match in the fifth minute, when Cameroonian Pierre Webo took advantage of defenders' and goalkeeper's mistake. Although both teams had opportunities to change the result of the match later on, they failed to do so and "Osasuna" celebrated their 11th victory this season.

"Sevilla" fought actively for every ball from the beginning and it paid off in the middle of the second half when the first to react to a rebound after Barca's Javier Saviola's shot was Frederic Kanoute, sending the ball into the net. However, the excellent game of Ronaldinho, the best player in Europe, allowed the Catalan superclub to celebrate victory - two minutes after Ronaldinho's corner kick, the most effective player of the team, Samuel Eto'o, headed in the goal, and with 12 minutes left until the end of the match, Ronaldinho exchanged passes with Swede Henrik Larsson and defeated Sevilla's goalkeeper Andres Palop. "Barcelona", achieving their 11th consecutive victory, repeated their 50-year record.

Lopez Caro, temporarily in charge of "Real", achieved the first victory at the helm of the team. His Madrid "Real" players defeated "Malaga" 2-0 away. The hosts scored first, but the referee disallowed Salva's goal due to a handball. Towards the end of the first half, the visitors took the lead with a header by defender Sergio Ramos, following a corner kick by Z.Zidane. A few minutes later, Brazilian Robinho doubled the score by sending the ball into the net from Guti's pass, which Ronaldo failed to shoot at. It was the second goal of the season for the young forward.

In the second half, "Real" could have made the result overwhelming, but Roberto Carlos' shot bounced off the crossbar, and at the end of the match, "Real" goalkeeper Iker Casillas saved the goal multiple times.

"Deportivo" achieved a 1-0 victory at home against "Cadiz" players. The only goal of the match was scored in the 50th minute by Diego Tristan, who received a great pass from Juan Carlos Valeron and sent the ball into the net.

This victory allowed "Deportivo" to surpass Vigo "Celta" in goal difference, as they suffered a minimal defeat away to "Zaragoza" at the bottom of the league table. The only goal of the match was scored towards the end by Brazilian Ewerthon, who received a pass from Oscar in the penalty area, played "scissors" with Argentine Diego Milito, and sent the ball into the net.
