Recently fired from the position of head coach at Real Madrid, Vanderlei Luxemburgo has agreed to return to "Santos," from which he moved to the capital club eleven months ago.
Luxemburgo's representative confirmed to the press on Tuesday that his client has agreed to a two-year contract with "Santos."
This will be Luxemburgo's third stint at the helm of "Santos." In 1997, he left "Santos" for "Corinthians," and in 2004, he returned and helped the club win the Brazilian championship.
After Luxemburgo's departure in December 2004, "Santos" had as many as four different coaches, but the defending champions finished only in tenth place and failed to qualify for the 2006 Libertadores Cup.
