Representatives from La Coruna reported that they have reached an agreement on the acquisition of young Madrid forward Javier Arizmendi. Today (Friday) the player was supposed to undergo a medical examination.
The 21-year-old Spaniard is considered one of the most talented footballers in the country, but this season he has only played five minutes under the guidance of Carlos Bianchi. Last season, the player was loaned out to a team and scored 3 goals in 22 matches in "La Liga" competition.
As reported, "Deportivo" has agreed on a four-year contract with the player, but the final price of the deal is not yet clear. "Atletico" officials, wanting to protect themselves, included a clause in the deal that enables them to buy back the player within the next two years for 4 million euros.
If Arizmendi's medical examination results are positive, he will become Deportivo's first purchase during the winter transfer window.
Currently, La Coruna's team is in 5th place in the Spanish "La Liga" competition with 26 points.
