On Friday in the French "Ligue 1" championship, there were eleven matches of the 19th round in which the defending champions "Lyon" team, who have not yet lost this season, met the "Lille" team that is in the middle of the tournament table.

To the surprise of all football experts and fans, "Lyon" failed to resist weaker opponents and suffered their first defeat this season - the match ended with a 1-3 victory for the visitors.

"Lille" took the lead in the 9th minute when Peter Odemwingie defeated Lyon's goalkeeper Gregory Coupet with an accurate shot. In the second half, another goal was scored in the 61st minute by Matthieu Debuchy.

After playing for another 8 minutes, Lyon's hope was revived by Sidney Govou, who sent the ball into Lille's net and reduced the score. However, during the next attacks, Stephane Dumont scored the final goal in Lyon's goal and secured his team's 1-3 victory.
