According to the Spanish sports newspaper "Marca", the Italian national team and forward should move to Madrid in the near future.

"Marca" states that representatives of the Royal club arrived in the Italian capital yesterday and started negotiations with the player and later, if necessary, with the leaders of "AS Roma". Previously it was claimed that "Real" would wait until next summer, when the Italian's contract with the club ends and he can move to another club without any fee, however, the injury experienced by the team captain Raul prompted "Real" to strengthen the attack during the winter transfer window.

If "Real" manages to reach an agreement with A.Cassano, which should not be difficult as the Italian himself has publicly stated he wants to play in Madrid, representatives of the Royal club will negotiate with the leadership of "AS Roma" for the player's transfer during the winter transfer window, which will start on the first day of January. According to "Marca", "Real" will most likely pay around five million euros (about 17 million litas) for the player.
