Brazilian football star Ronaldo wants his teammate David Beckham to stay in Madrid.

The English captain is linked to a possible move to London this summer, as one of the candidates for the presidency of Madrid yesterday said that if elected, he would sell Beckham.

Meanwhile, the most productive player of "Real", Ronaldo, has already scored 24 goals this season and claims that Beckham directly contributed to many of them.

Former Milan "Inter" and "Barcelona" forward praised Beckham's accurate passes and said he wants him to stay in the team.

"His contract is not ending soon, and David himself is happy in Madrid," Ronaldo spoke. "His first season in La Liga is very successful, and the second one will probably be even more successful, so I really don't think he wants to leave Spain."

"When we play, he is everywhere, and his excellent passes help me score a lot of goals," the Brazilian said. "Playing with him is a pleasure to me."
