The Argentine Pablo Aimar, a star of the leaders of the Spanish championship teams, expressed his condolences to his fellow countryman Diego Maradona.
The 43-year-old Argentine is now lying in the hospital, where he is connected to a ventilator due to heart and breathing problems. The former football star ended up in the hospital on Sunday when he felt unwell while watching a football match.
"For all Argentinians who love football, Diego is like a god," sadly spoke Aimar. "Knowing how difficult his situation is now, we are all truly sad."
Pablo Aimar stated that he is constantly informed about Maradona's health condition by his teammate in "Valencia" - the Argentine Mauricio Pellegrino.
"I believe he will recover soon. It is hard for me to imagine how he ended up in such a situation," Aimar told journalists. "But everyone lives their life as they want."
"I have always admired Diego's game and every time something bad happens to him, I am very sad," concluded the 24-year-old footballer in a conversation with journalists."
