The national team and club defender Roberto Ayala suffered an injury during training and will now undergo surgery.
In the coming days, the football player should travel to Germany, where the operation will take place, after which the player will not be able to play for at least two weeks.
The team doctor, Antonio Gineris, confirmed that the player's injury is not very serious, but he will not be able to avoid surgery. However, he emphasized that with the upcoming winter break, now is the best time to minimize Ayala's absence.
"Roberto's injury requires serious treatment and now is the best time for it," Gineris said.
This season, Ayala has played 15 games in the main lineup of Valencia, missing just one team match. Valencia currently occupies the 6th place in the Spanish La Liga championship.
