Vice President Adriano Galliani confirmed the rumors that the team is planning to leave the San Siro stadium where they currently play and move to their own arena as soon as it is finished.

The current stadium was built in 1926 and was named the San Siro. It is also the home ground of another Milan club and later received the name of the legendary player of this team, Giuseppe Meazza.

"Our club is currently seriously working on building a new stadium, which should resemble the modern Schalke Arena in Germany," said Galliani.

"The project has just started but we are taking it very seriously. There are no other two famous teams in the world that share one stadium," he continued. "We simply need a new arena, and I don't know what 'Inter' will do. Maybe they will also build a new stadium for themselves, or maybe they will stay at the San Siro."

Galliani also hinted that the new stadium will be named after one of the sponsors.

"One of the sponsors will give the stadium its name. We can already see examples of this in Germany, England, and the USA," he said.
