During the only match of the 17th round of the Spanish championship held on Tuesday, the tournament leaders, Barcelona's footballers, confidently defeated Celta Vigo 2-0 and secured their 13th consecutive victory in all competitions.
Cameroonian player Samuel Eto'o scored both goals in the 38th and 57th minutes, with the most contribution coming from Brazilian Ronaldinho, who defended his title as the best player in the world on Monday.
Although the visitors actively resisted in the first half of the match at the Nou Camp stadium, Barcelona managed to score a goal towards the end of the half against substitute goalkeeper Esteban, who replaced the disqualified Jose Manuel Pinto, and then doubled the lead in the second half.
