Preparing for the "Unity Cup" tournament at the end of January, Lithuanian "A Lyga" vice-champion club FBK "Kaunas" was joined by a new player over the holidays - a 29-year-old experienced defender who played last season in Russia.
The footballer started training with "Kaunas" on December 20, and left a good impression on the coach, so the club did not hesitate for long and soon signed a contract with the experienced player.
"I always believe that there is no need to rush to sign a contract with newcomers. I always want to see the player on the field myself, assess his abilities, and only then decide on his worth," the new head coach of "Kaunas" team, Eduardas Malofejevas, officially told the "A Lyga" website.
N. Radzius, who represented the Lithuanian national team 11 times, started his career at Vilnius "Zalgiris", later played in Poland for Lublin "Zaglebie", then moved to Russia and represented the first league Novorossiysk "Chernomorets" team, spending the last season at Astrakhan "Volgar-Gazprom" club.
