Former Brazil national team member Rivaldo may leave Piraeus and return to play in his homeland in the near future.
Although the former stars of "Barcelona" and "AC Milan" have signed a one-year contract with a Greek club, which will end in June, the "America RJ" team from Brazil may buy the forward during the winter transfer window.
"We are definitely not speculating. Many people are involved in negotiations, and the possibility of Rivaldo playing for us is about 85 or 90 percent," said Valdir Zagaglia, vice president of "America RJ."
"The only thing that could derail the negotiations is the transfer fee, but since Rivaldo's contract with Olympiakos ends in the summer, it shouldn't be a big problem," Zagaglia continued. "We have sponsors who will pay for Rivaldo's transfer, and Rivaldo himself said he wants to play for us in the first half of the season so he can make it into the national team, which will compete in the World Cup next summer."
Zagaglia added that Rivaldo would agree to play for them for half a season, and then would like to be sold to a top division team.
"America RJ" earned a spot in the second most powerful league in Brazil last season.
