Madrid defender Jonathan Woodgate returned to the Royal club after a nearly two-month break. The Englishman recovered from a left ankle tendon injury.
The 25-year-old England international, who had been training with his teammates since the Christmas break, was included in the "Real" lineup for the King's Cup match against "Athletic Bilbao" on Tuesday.
J. Woodgate suffered the injury on November 6 in a match against "Zaragoza" - shortly after he had recovered from a very serious thigh muscle injury that took 18 months to heal.
The new "Real" acquisition, Brazilian Cicinho, was also included in the squad for Tuesday's match. Englishman David Beckham, who recovered from a minor injury, was also included.
Defenders Ivan Helguera, Francisco Pavon, and Roberto Carlos were allowed to rest, while forwards Ronaldo and Raul will miss the match due to injuries, and midfielder Pablo Garcia will not play due to suspension.
