The Madrid team officially announced that the Italian striker from the AS team is moving to the "royal" Spanish club.

23-year-old A. Cassano has signed a contract with the Spanish club until 2010. Today, the player will undergo comprehensive health examinations, and the footballer will be officially presented to fans and the media.

For this transfer, "Real" will have to pay around 5.5 million euros, although in 2001 the Italian capital club acquired the talented striker from the "Bari" team for a huge sum of 25 million euros.

However, the contract of the player, known for his tempestuous character and stubbornness, with "Roma" was supposed to expire this summer, and in negotiations for an extension, both sides did not reach an agreement. Therefore, at the beginning of this season, the Italian club announced an ultimatum to the player - if he does not extend his contract, he will not have a place in the main team.

Cassano himself, giving an interview to the official "Real" website, said: "I have always dreamed of playing for the best team in the world, and that dream has finally come true. With this team, we can win everything. I want to start playing matches as soon as possible, I want to help the team win all the titles we can still win this year."
