Uruguayan national team forward Walter Pandiani officially moved from Barcelona to Birmingham on Friday and was already introduced to the new club's fans.
W. Pandiani signed a two-and-a-half-year contract with the Catalan club, and "Birmingham" will receive a sum of 1.5 million euros for this transfer.
"I am ready to play and I can't wait to do so," - said the Uruguayan at a press conference.
The 29-year-old forward, known as "The Gunman," moved to "Birmingham" for 3 million pounds last August from La Coruna's "Deportivo."
"Espanyol" became the third Spanish team to be represented by the Uruguayan. Previously, he has played for "Deportivo" and "Mallorca," scoring 45 goals in 119 Spanish league matches for them.
"Espanyol," who will face Real Sociedad on Sunday in the Spanish championship, currently occupy 14th place in the standings.
