Lithuanian vice-champions FBK football players started their participation in the Friendship Cup tournament taking place in Moscow with a victory. On Saturday, residents of Kaunas crushed Armenian champions "Pyunik" with a score of 3-0 in Group D matches.

Kaunas residents took the lead in the eleventh minute of the match when Bosnian and Herzegovinian legionnaire Edin Pehličius scored. In the second half, R.Beniušius missed a hundred percent opportunity to double the result, but it did not affect the outcome significantly, as at the end of the match, players who came on the field after substitutions scored two goals and helped to crush the Armenian champions.
In the 79th minute, Linas Pilibaitis successfully converted a penalty for a handball, and a few minutes later, Audrius Kšanavičius scored the third goal with an excellent penalty kick.
In other group matches, Shakhtyor from Soligorsk, Belarus, also defeated the Russian U-19 team with the same result.
On Sunday, FBK "Kaunas", replacing Panevezys "Ekranas" who refused to participate in this tournament, will face the Russian youth team.
