After five consecutive losses at the bottom of the Serie B tournament table, the home team finally secured a 2-0 victory in a match against the absolute league underdog Catanzaro, with one goal scored by a Lithuanian.

The hosts, fighting for survival in the championship, pushed forward just before the halftime break, as Raffaele Biancolino successfully converted a penalty kick from eleven meters, and at the beginning of the second half, Tomas Danilevičius sealed the victory for his team with a precise shot during a counterattack.

For the 27-year-old Lithuanian national team forward, who is playing productively in matches, this was already his ninth goal this season - making him the top scorer in the team by this measure. After the match, the foreign player expressed his joy for the victory and important three points, also stating that it would be nice to reach his tenth goal, but the most important thing is to win.

Another "Lithuanian" Serie B team - Brescia, holding the sixth position in the table, where the Lithuanian national team leader Marius Stankevičius plays, will face Rimini, who are three positions below them in the standings, on Wednesday.
