In the Italian championship, taking the fourth position, finding a replacement due to injury for almost the rest of the season missing goalkeeper Sebastien Frey - borrowed from the Amsterdam club until summer, Romanian national team goalkeeper Bogdan Lobont.

Initially it was thought that "Fiorentina" would reclaim Francesco Toldo, who had been in the team for many years before, from the "Inter" team, negotiations were also underway for the possible loan of Matteo Sereni, and although the Florentine club denied these reports and said they would not invite a new player to the team, today the team was supplemented by B. Lobontas.

The 28-year-old Romanian has played 68 matches in five years at Ajax and is well known to Italian football fans after his fantastic performance in the 2003 Champions League quarterfinals against Milan. B. Lobont's contract with the Amsterdam club, where he took over the main goalkeeper position from the Dutchman Maarten Stekelenburg this season, is valid until 2008.
