On Saturday in the 20th round of the Spanish Championship ("La Liga"), Madrid's "Real" team recovered at home after conceding a goal and celebrated a 3-1 victory against "Cadiz," while the other Madrid team "Atletico" took revenge at "Zaragoza," who had eliminated them from the King's Cup earlier this week.
In the matches held in Madrid, "Real" controlled the game from the very beginning, but the resilient Cadiz players managed to withstand the attacks of the hosts. The sacrificial fight of the guests bore fruit at the beginning of the second half, when Alexander Medina scored from close range after a penalty area commotion. However, this did not discourage the players of the Royal club, who scored three fantastic goals and celebrated victory.
Just over ten minutes later, the score became equal when the penalty expert, Brazilian Roberto Carlos, scored a penalty in this area. Just four minutes later, from a very similar penalty kick from a similar position, England's captain David Beckham scored a second goal, his first of the season in the Spanish championship.
Before the end of the match, with less than ten minutes left, a fantastic shot from about 20 meters after a superb pass from Guti, the goalkeeper was defeated by the increasingly intimidating Brazilian, Robinho.
In the ranks of "Real", the club's new player, Brazilian Cicinho, played the whole match, replacing the injured Michel Salgado on the right side of the defense, while another new player of the Royal club, Italian Antonio Cassano, appeared on the field in the 59th minute, replacing Dane Thomas Gravesen.
Meanwhile, in the only other Saturday match, "Atletico" took revenge for their loss in the King's Cup quarterfinals, defeating "Zaragoza" players 0-2.
The first goal for "Atletico" was scored after almost half an hour, when Argentine national team defender Maxi Rodriguez scored after Ariel Ibagaza's pass. In the second half, a penalty kick of eleven meters was awarded for a foul against the same M. Rodriguez, which was successfully converted by forward Fernando Torres.
For "Atletico," this was the first win in 11 matches and the first for interim coach Pepe Murcia, while for "Zaragoza" it was the first loss in seven matches in the Spanish Championship.
