Born in Russia, Finnish national team defender Aleksejus Jeriomenko Jr. is returning to his homeland. The 22-year-old defender decided to leave the team and moved to a club in the Moscow region, with which he signed a four-year contract.

"We were looking for an attacking midfielder, and we found Jeriomenko. He is exactly the player we need - with good field vision and excellent ability to exploit set pieces. Although he plays in the defensive line, in the Finnish national team he has scored more goals than Mikael Forssell ("Birmingham" and Finnish national team forward) - this just shows how good of a player he is," said "Saturn" general director Mikhail Vorontsov.

The son of legendary Moscow "Spartak" player Aleksejus Jeriomenko moved with his family to Finland at the age of seven. After spending a few years in the youth teams of "Tromso" and "Metz," he returned to Finland and began his career as a professional footballer there. In 2002, he won the Finnish championship with Helsinki's "HJK" and two years ago moved to the Italian team "Lecce."

However, playing 35 matches in the Italian championship, A.Jeriomenko Jr. did not establish himself in the main team lineup. Meanwhile, he performed impressively for the Finnish national team - he scored 8 goals in the World Cup qualifying matches.

Jeriomenko Jr. was of interest to Glasgow "Celtic" in Scotland, but he did not attend the team's trial and has now chosen the "Saturn" club, where Lithuanian national team defender Rolandas Džiaukštas also plays.
