The Bremen club will have to deal without their attacking leader Miroslav Klose - the German national team striker suffered a shoulder injury in a cup match and will not be able to play for at least three weeks.
On Wednesday evening, "Werder" lost to the third division team "St.Pauli" and had to withdraw from the German cup, but the bad news for the team's fans did not end there - slipping on the icy field, 27-year-old M.Klose strained his right shoulder tendon and will not be able to help his team for several weeks.
Werder" can only take comfort in the fact that the player will not need surgery and the injury is not as serious as initially thought, however, M.Klose will still be unable to play in the Bundesliga matches after the winter break and will probably miss the Champions League round of 16 against Turin's "Juventus" on February 22nd.
