Probably all of you remember Madrid's ex-coach V.del Bosque, but you probably don't know much about him. Let's try to find out his opinion on current football issues.

Real life in "Real" club

As soon as V.del Bosque was fired from the head coach position, various rumors spread around the world. Some praised the club president F. Perez for his courage. However, the majority of fans were dissatisfied with his decision. Even though the team won two Champions League trophies and two Spanish league titles under his management, he was fired. The long-time player of the club, the deserving coach, was simply told - you are no longer needed. The media declared that he was fired due to poor performance in the Champions League. Despite this, "Real" won the Spanish championship. It was not enough.

Achievements

V.del Bosque created the current "Real" club. The fans greatly respected him for that. However, most of the credit for bringing players like Figo, Zidane, Beckham, and Ronaldo to the team is given to F. Perez. Nevertheless, without the determined and unchanging efforts of V.Del Bosque, this would not have been possible. This did not save the coach.

Different titles

The coach himself also celebrated the titles won by the team. However, he understands that winning the Spanish league and winning the Champions League trophy are two very different things. "Winning two Spanish league gold medals was great. However, winning the Champions League was more important," - said the coach. A simple proof of this is his last year in Madrid.

Champions League

Life does not stand still. Remaining in the club, Vincente had enough time to watch this Champions League season. "It's very strange that such teams as Manchester United, Milan, and Real did not make it to the semi-finals," he said. "It's hard to say why Real didn't succeed. We have to accept that. Now I would bet on Deportivo."

Deportivo - Milan

"Deportivo is a very talented team. No one expected that after losing the first quarterfinal match 1:4 they would manage to make it to the semi-finals. I think their strength is consistency. They had the key to victory."

"Valencia"

Most people now consider "Valencia" to be the favorite to win the UEFA Cup. But Del Bosque thinks that it won't be easy for them. "After so many surprises in the Champions League, it's hard to say who the favorites are. I think Valencia will not have it easy, as they have to fight on two fronts - in the Spanish championship and in the UEFA Cup."

Euro 2004

This year Spain could win everything - the Champions League, the UEFA Cup, and the European Championship. "It would be great if Spain won the European Cup. However, I don't think there are clear favorites. Maybe Portugal, as they are the hosts, but they will have a big responsibility," said V.del Bosque.
