In the Italian "Serie A" championship, occupying the fifth place, the club will have to play the next league match at home against "Cagliari" behind closed doors in a neutral field - such a punishment was decided by the Italian Football Association, evaluating the Nazi symbolism demonstrated by the team's fans in Sunday's match.

In the match held at the Olympic Stadium, prohibited Nazi posters, swastikas, photos with the portrait of the famous Italian fascist Benito Mussolini were visible in the sections of "Roma" fans, as well as a large banner with the inscription: " "Lazio" (eternal rival of "Roma" city - ed.note) and "Livorno" - the same first letter, the same crematorium."

Later it was revealed that the police confiscated 6 Molotov bombs and a banner outside the stadium, which read - "we will burn you alive." It is believed that this was an attempt to take revenge on "Livorno" fans for the fact that one of the "Roma" supporters lost fingers in last year's match.

According to one of the Italian government ministers, if similar demonstrations were to reoccur in the future, the matches should be stopped immediately. "From now on, I am ready to take action and stop any match in which there are any racist expressions, symbols, or offensive writings."
