The Milan club was supplemented by another player from South America - Rome's defender Cesar Rodrigues, who was loaned to the team until the end of the season and should sign a long-term two-year contract with Inter after his contract with the Italian capital club expires.

The 31-year-old Brazilian, who plays on the left side of the defensive line, was one of the favorite players of the current Inter coach Roberto Mancini back when the coach was leading the Lazio team. Moving to Milan, the coach wanted to acquire the player, but both clubs were struggling to agree on the defender's transfer.

However, since C. Rodrigues refused to extend his contract with Lazio, the Rome club was forced to negotiate or risk getting nothing for him next summer. Eventually, it was agreed that the footballer would be loaned to Inter, and Lazio would receive half of the rights to 22-year-old defender Alberto Quadri and the loan of 19-year-old Brazilian defender Guilherme Siqueiros with the possibility of also acquiring 50% of the latter's contract after the season.

Having played in Italy for four years, C. Rodrigues will most likely take the place of the Argentine Santiago Solari, who is expected to return to Spain, in the Inter club, while Lazio hastened to fill the gap in their team by loaning a 23-year-old Italian defender. In the loan agreement of the Rome-born player, there is also a clause stating that part of his registration rights can be bought out after the season.

Today, both clubs are busy with other deals: Inter has regained forward Lampros Choutos from Mallorca and immediately loaned him to the Reggina team, while Lazio exchanged goalkeeper loans with Treviso - the league newcomers will be supplemented by an Italian, and instead, a Slovenian Samir Handanovič will move to Rome.

Furthermore, Rome's active presence in the market was evident as they also bought out the remaining part of Swiss player Valon Behrami's contract, which belonged to the Genoa club. It is believed that Milan, who had a great start to the season and was invited to the national team, is interested in this player, but the player, of Albanian descent, decided to link his future with Lazio.
