On Saturday, seven matches of the 25th round of the French football championship "Ligue 1" were played, during which one interesting result was recorded.
Perhaps the most unexpected result is the defeat of "Auxerre", who are in third place, to the tournament's outsider "Ajaccio" club with a score of 1-0. The only goal of the match was scored by Moussa N`Diaye in the 82nd minute.
Saturday was not successful for the "Lille" team, who are in fourth place on the league table. Playing away, they conceded two goals from "Nice" players in the first half and could not recover, eventually losing to their opponents 2-0.
The 5th place Paris "P.S.G" club did not take advantage of the slip-up from their closest competitors. The capital team, who had a very turbulent match, barely secured a draw at home against "Saint-Etienne" team. It is worth mentioning that the goal for "P.S.G" was scored by the excellent Pedro Pauleta, and in the ranks of "Saint-Etienne", the Portuguese Helder Postiga, who joined the team just a few weeks ago, once again stood out.
Finally, the "Monaco" club claimed a confident victory on the road, defeating "Rennes" 3-1. The two goals for the winners were scored by the team's newcomer, Italian Christian Vieri, who joined the principality team just a few weeks ago. Following this victory, "Monaco" moved up two positions from 9th to 7th place.
Also moving up two positions from 8th to 6th place after Saturday's matches is the "Lens" club, who won 2-1 at home against the underdog "Strasbourg".
